This large facility was developed in an area of southeast Salem that discharged stormwater to the Highway 22 right of way and a capacity limited drainageway downstream of the highway. The total contributing area was over 600 acres. The system designed included multiple stormwater quality facilities, swales, 2.5 acre wetland and a 13.65 acre regional detention facility. The pre-developed flow for the 600 acres was 87.7 cfs in a 2-year storm event. Upon full development of the various contributing areas the system will discharge 87.5 cfs in a 50-year storm event.
