Project Description: This project involved a major upgrade to Mill City’s water distribution system.  Distribution system design included a modeling analysis of the entire distribution system using WaterCad software.  The final design included over 18,000 lineal feet of new waterline ranging from 8-inch to 12-inch diameter and included a railroad bridge crossing for the North Santiam River. The bridge crossing was particularly challenging due to the need to modify the bridge deck and deflect the waterline around various structural elements of the bridge.  Westech was also responsible for managing bidding, construction management and inspection.
